Marist Scores Two Second-Half Goals to Squeak Guins, 2-0
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. -- Marist scored two goals in the late in the second half en route to a 2-0 victory over the Youngstown State soccer team (0-1) on Friday evening in the 2009 season opener for both schools.
The Penguins tallied three shots, including two shots on
goal, against the Red Foxes. Senior Jordan Gapczynski posted two shots, both on
goal, while sophomore Kara Cooper, also tallied a shot.
Sophomore goalkeeper Nicole Kline tallied five saves
The Penguins take on Howard, Sunday, Aug. 23, at 1 p.m. in Washington, D.C.
