Guins No-Hit in
Rain-Delayed 8-0 Loss to Canisius
Buffalo, N.Y.
-- Three early Youngstown State
errors led to three unearned runs in
the bottom of the second inning and
Canisius' Mallory Aldred pitched a
no-hitter with eight strikeouts as
the Penguins dropped an 8-0
rain-delayed loss.
The Guins, who
fell to 3-17, and Golden Griffs
played just one game due to the
two-hour and 14-minute rain delay.
Junior Cheryl
Cale pitched just two innings but
did not allow an earned run and took
the loss.
The Penguins
return to Horizon League action with
a three-game series at Wright State,
