Goettsch Places 18th in Three-Meter Zones
West Lafayette, Ind. -- Youngstown State senior
Brandi Goettsch placed 18th at the
NCAA Region C Diving Zones, hosted
by Purdue University, at the
Boilermaker Aquatic Center on
Saturday. Goettsch had a score of
396.85 while Indiana's Erin Quinn
won the event with a 556.00.
The top seven finishers in the event qualified for the
2002 Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving
Championships, held March 21-23, in
Austin, Texas.
Also, YSU junior Amanda Smail finished 23rd with a
score of 231.80 while freshman Kalyn
LeVeto placed 34th with a score of
