Goettsch Wins Horizon League 3-Meter
Chicago, Ill. -- Senior diver Brandi Goettsch won the
individual title in the three-meter
dive on Thursday at the Horizon
League Championships at UIC in
Chicago, Ill. The Penguins are
currently fifth in the overall
standings as action continues on
Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Goettsch, who won the Mid-Continent Conference three-meter
title last year, won in a new league
this year taking the title with a
score of 458.05. Also in the
three-meter competition, junior
Amanda Smail placed third with a
score of 419.75 and freshman Kalyn
LeVeto was fourth with a 405.75.
In other action, YSU's 200-yard freestyle relay team finished
sixth with a time of 1:42.84 and the
400-yard medley relay team was
seventh in a time of 4:17.02.
