Penguins Sign Local Talent Bertuzzi
Youngstown -- Becky
Bertuzzi of John F. Kennedy High
School signed a National Letter of
Intent to attend Youngstown State
University starting Fall 2003 to
further her education and swimming
career, Head Swimming and Diving
Coach Jackie Bak announced.
"We are really excited to have Becky," Bak said. "She
should make an immediate impact on
our team. She is young, raw
talent and has great enthusiasm.
As a versatile swimmer as an Eagle, Bertuzzi qualified for
State in the 200-yard freestyle and
also swam distance freestyle and the
backstroke. She is also the
salutatorian of her graduating
class.
