Leveto Wins Twice in 129-107 Loss to Cleveland State

Kalyn Leveto picked up two wins in 1- and 3-meter diving, but
Cleveland State claimed victories in
10 of the 11 swimming events in a
129-107 victory over the Penguins on
Wednesday evening at the
Robert F. Busbey Natatorium.
Leveto won the 1-meter event with a score of 239.10 and the
3-meter with a tally of 256.23.
YSU's only other win was the
400-yard freestyle relay where Erin
Carter, Becky Bertuzzi, Missy Wiese
and Lena Arens teamed up for a time
of 3 minutes, 42.89 seconds.
Arens finished second in the 50 and 100 free while Carter
earned second-place finishes in the
200 IM. Also finishing second
were Bertuzzi in the 200 free,
Danielle Blagg in the 100 breast,
Lynea Harrill in 1-meter diving and
Erin Mazzant in 3-meter diving.
Earning third-place finishes were Jordan Dunn in the 500 and
1,000 free, Katy Malys in the 100
free, Kim Hanley in the 100 breast,
Mazzant in 1-meter diving and
Cortney Harless in 3-meter diving.
The Penguins will host Canisius on Jan. 31 at 11:30 a.m. |
