Leveto Earns Horizon League Athlete of the Week Honors
Indianapolis --
Junior diver Kalyn Leveto was named
the Horizon League Women's Swimming
and Diving Athlete of the Week for
the period ending Feb. 3, league
communications assistant Kyle Smith
announced.
Leveto shattered her own school record in 1-meter diving with
a first-place score of 329.55 to
lift the Penguins to a 123-97 win
over the Canisius Golden Griffins on
Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly
Natatorium.
Leveto was YSU's lone double-winner in individual events at
the meet as she also claimed the top
spot in 3-meter event with a score
of 256.90.
Her old 1-meter mark was 296.02, which she set against
Cleveland State on Jan. 22, 2003.
Leveto, the reigning Horizon League Champion in the 1- and
3-meter events, has won the 3-meter
board six times and the 1-meter five
times this season. |
