Leveto Claims Two Victories Against Marshall
Youngstown --
Youngstown State diver Kalyn Leveto
won the one and three-meter diving
events, the Marshall Thundering Herd
defeated the Penguin swimming and
diving team 133-107 on Saturday
afternoon at the Beeghly Natatorium.
Leveto claimed first place while tallying a score of 256.15
in the three-meter and 227.05 in the
one-meter. Erika Nilsson and
Milla Kuurto earned two wins for the
Thundering Herd.
Jordan Dunn picked up a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle
with a time of 11 minutes, 17.10
seconds and a third-place spot in
the 200 back. Lena Arens added
a first-place finish in the 50 free
with a time of 25.04 seconds.
Erin Carter finished second in the 200 individual medley with
a time of 2:14.97, a time .18
seconds shy of the school record.
Carter added a second-place finish
in the 200 fly with a time of
2:16.73.
Missy Weise chipped in with second-place finishes in the 50
free and 100 free while Becky
Bertuzzi finished third in the 200
free and the 500 free. Also
picking up third-place finishes were
Erin Mazzant in one-meter diving,
Courtney Harless in three-meter
diving, Lauren Connolly in the 100
free, Danielle Blagg in the 200
breast, and Erika Gregos in the 200
fly.
The Penguins will continue their season on Oct. 26 when they
host Radford at 1 p.m. |
