Leveto Wins Both Boards Against Cleveland State, Wright State
Cleveland, Ohio -- Youngstown State
senior Kalyn Leveto won 3-meter
diving with a score of 283.20 and
added a first-place score of 266.55
in the 1-meter to highlight YSU's
day in a double dual with Cleveland
State and Wright State on Friday.
The Penguins fell to the Vikings 129-105 and to Wright State
150-85.
Julia Darling provided Youngstown State's only other
individual victory when she won the
200-yard breaststroke against Wright
State with a personal-best time of
2:31.00. The freshman added a
second-place finish in the 200
individual medley in a personal-best
2:20.28 against Cleveland State.
Freshman Brittany Senn also clocked in with two personal-best
marks, swimming a time of 25.43 in
the 50 free to place second against
both opponents and a 55.52 in the
100 free to place third. Jordan Dunn
placed second in the against the
Vikings in the 500 free in a
personal-best time of 5:20.22 and
added a second-place finish against
CSU in the 1,000 free.
Senior Erin Carter placed second in the 200 fly against both
squads with a time of 2:15.45 and
added a second-place finish against
the Vikings in the 200 IM with a
time of 2:16.47.
Erica Gregos added a personal-best time of 11:10.82 in the
1,000 free while Amanda Howard swam
a personal-best 2:35.52 in the 200
back.
The 400 freestyle relay of Katy Malys, Dunn, Carter and Senn
defeated Wright State in a
season-best time of 3:43.29.
The Penguins will play host to California University of
Pennsylvania on Saturday at 1 p.m.
YSU's 10 seniors will be recognized
before the meet. |
