Leveto Wins One-Meter; Dunn, Darling Break Records in Final Day
    Brown Deer, Wis. -- Senior diver Kalyn Leveto won the one-meter board while senior Jordan Dunn set the 1,650-yard freestyle record and freshman Julia Darling broke the 200-yard breast record at the final day of the Horizon League Championship.
    Leveto dominated the field with a Horizon League record score of 284.00 to win by nearly 30 points after a fourth-place showing in the three-meter on Thursday. Dunn's time of 17:56.50 broke Cathy Sipka's record that was set back in 1986 and was good enough for eighth place while Darling swam a 10th-place time of 2:28.27 to top senior Danielle Blagg's mark that was set earlier this year.
    The Penguins finished sixth at the meet with 294 points ahead of Butler, which finished with 161. Cleveland State was within striking distance in fifth with a score of 311. UW-Green Bay won the event with a score of 817.
    Erin Carter added a fifth-place finish in the 200 fly with a mark of 2:11.52 while Becky Bertuzzi placed 13th and Amanda Ladd was 16th.
    Bertuzzi also placed 14th in the 100 free after recording the second-fastest time in school history in the prelims (53.74). Blagg placed 13th with a time of 2:36.65 in the 200 breast while Amanda Howard was 16th. Erika Gregos placed 13th in the 1,650 free with a time of 18:32.31 and Michele Von Duhn was 15th in 18:59.59.
    Overall at the meet, the Penguins set six school records at the meet and had 28 lifetime bests.
    Leveto will compete in the Zone C Diving Championships beginning March 11 in West Lafayette, Ind.
