Leveto Sweeps Diving Events at West Virginia
Morgantown, W. Va. -- Youngstown
State senior Kalyn Leveto won both
diving events for the sixth-straight
meet, but the Penguins fell to West
Virginia and Duquesne early Saturday
morning.
Leveto posted a lifetime-best 3-meter score of 307.57 to win
the event by nearly 60 points and
paced the Penguins to a sweep in the
1-meter with a tally of 267.45.
Erin Carter picked up a win against Duquesne in the 200-yard
individual medley with a time of
2:17.10 while the 400 freestyle
relay quartet of Missy Wiese, Sarah
Porchak, Jordan Dunn and Brittany
Senn finished first against West
Virginia in 3:47.98.
Erin Mazzant finished second in 1-meter diving against both
squads with a score of 207.67 and
third in the 3-meter with a 207.30.
Brittany Senn placed second against
WVU in the 100 free in 56.49 seconds
while Sarah Porchak finished second
against Duqusne in the 100 back with
a time of 1:03.53.
The Penguins will be off for more than two months for Winter
Break and their training trip to
Nassau, Bahamas. They will play host
to the Akron Zips on Jan. 17. |
