Penguins Come Up Short in Double Dual at Akron
Akron, Ohio -- Youngstown State's
Olivia Arnold swam the second-best
1,000-yard freestyle time in school
history and added a personal-best
time in the 100 breast as YSU was
defeated by Akron and Ohio in a
double dual at the Ocasek Natatorium
Friday evening.
Arnold swam a time of 10:49.57 to place fifth in the 1,000
free, and her eighth-place time of
1:13.04 in the 100 breast moved her
into sixth-place on the all-time
list.
Jessica Front swam a personal-best time of 2:00.18 in the 200
free to place fourth and rank sixth
all-time in the event, and
Erin-Michelle Gordon's time of
11:28.09 in the 1,000 free moved her
into seventh-place all-time.
Brittany Senn finished fourth in the
50 free (25.38) while Julia Darling
finished fifth in the 100 breast
(1:09.18). Kelly Reese placed third
in the 3-meter and fourth in the
1-meter to pace the divers.
The Penguins will take part in the Radford Invitational that
begins Friday, Nov. 18, and runs
through Nov. 20. |
