YSU Sweeps Horizon League's Weekly Swimming and Diving Awards
    Indianapolis --
Youngstown State freshmen Olivia Arnold and Kelly Reese swept the Horizon League's weekly swimming and diving honors for their performances against Cleveland State, Ohio and Akron, the League announced Tuesday.
This marks the first time the Penguins have ever swept the award in the Horizon League, and Arnold and Reese become the first YSU athletes to earn the honors this season.

Arnold, a native of Rutherglen, Australia, won three individual events against CSU on Thursday as the Penguins beat the Vikings in a dual meet for the first time since joining the Horizon League. She claimed victories in the 1,000 free (10:49.71), the 500 free (5:14.95) and the 200 IM (2:16.51), and her time in the 500 free was a personal-best mark and ranks second in school history. On Friday against Ohio and Akron, she swam the second-best 1,000-yard freestyle time in school history (10:49.57) and added a personal-best time in the 100 breast (1:13.04).
Reese, a Canfield, Ohio, native, swept the diving events against the Vikings with a personal-best score of 241.70 in the 1-meter for and a tally of 222.90 in the 3-meter. She followed that by placing third in the 3-meter and fourth in the 1-meter against Ohio and Akron on Friday.
