Senn, Arnold Win Twice in Victory Over Canisius

Sophomore Brittany Senn and freshman Olivia Arnold each won two individual events as Youngstown State defeated Canisius 114-90 in the home opener for the Penguins Friday afternoon at the Beeghly Natatorium.
    Senn won the 50 free (25.02) and the 100 back (1:05.60) while Arnold picked up victories in the 200 free (2:01.90) and the 1,000 free (10:57.19) in her dual meet debut.
    The Penguins won four other individual events and the 400-yard medley relay before swimming exhibition in the final four events.
    Junior Becky Bertuzzi won the 100 fly (1:03.28) and was part of YSU's winning relay, and Jessica Front anchored the relay and won the 100 free (55.49). Natasha Bray won the 200 IM (2:22.91) while Kelly Reese added a win in the 1-meter dive (224.75).
    Bray added a second-place finish in the 1,000 free (11:09.44) while Erin Sayre placed second in the 200 free (2:08.15). Julia Darling finished second in the 50 free (26.06) and swam a time of 1:09.63 in the 100 breast. Erin-Michelle Gordon added a second-place finish in the 100 free (58.09)
    The Penguins will play host to Marshall tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Beeghly Natatorium.
