Bertuzzi Claims Victory in 200 Free Against Akron

    Youngstown -- Youngstown State senior Becky Bertuzzi won the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:59.04 as the Penguins fell 140-85 to Akron on Sunday at the Beeghly Natatorium.
    Natasha Bray also had a big meet, placing second in the 500 free and swimming a personal-best time of 10:54.18 in the 1,000 free to finish third. With her time in the 1,000, she moved into fourth place on YSU's top-10 performer's list.
    YSU's 200 free relay of Brittany Senn, Megan Rupe, Erin-Michelle Gordon and Jessica Front also earned a victory with a time of 1:43.06.
    Cortney Harless added two third-place finishes in diving, Senn placed third in the 100 free and Bray was third in the 200 back.
    The Penguins will play host to Radford and St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
