Wins Annual
Intersquad Meet,
Three Seniors

Olivia
Arnold won
three
individual
events to
pace the red
team to a
126-100
victory in
the annual
Red-Black
Intersquad
Meet on
Friday
afternoon.
The
intersquad
scrimmage
was the
first
competitive
meet on the
short course
for many of
the swimmers
since the
Horizon
League
Championships
in February.
Head
Coach Matt
Anderson
also
officially
announced
Becky
Bertuzzi,
Kim Hanley
and Cortney
Harless, the
squad's only
seniors,
would serve
as team
captains for
the second
straight
season.
Arnold,
who was
named the
swimming MVP
last season,
posted
victories in
the 500
free, 1,000
free and the
200 breast
to finish
with 27
points for
the red
squad. Senn
swam the top
times in the
50 free and
200 fly and
Reese swept
the diving
events to
claim 18
points
apiece.
Bertuzzi
won the 200
free and 200
back to
collect 18
points for
the black
squad.
Freshman
Megan Rupe
won the 100
free and
placed
second in
the 50 free
and 200
free.
Natasha Bray
added a win
in the 200
IM for the
black team.
The
Penguins
will get
their season
underway on
Oct. 13 at
the Tom
Stubbs
