Penguins Edge Cleveland State in Double Dual Split

    Cleveland, Ohio -- Youngstown State got two wins apiece from Natasha Bray and Ashley Williamson and won the 400-yard freestyle relay to nip Cleveland State 117-108 on Saturday at the Busbey Natatorium.
    YSU also fell to UIC 152-78 in what was the Penguins' final meet of the regular season. They will compete at Busbey again starting Feb. 20 in the Horizon League Championships.
    Bray earned wins against the Vikings in the 1,000 free (10:47.06) and the 500 free (5:20.34) while Williamson claimed victories in the 200 IM (2:16.48) and the 200 back (2:13.52). Alana Kane, Jessica Front, Brittany Senn and Megan Rupe teamed up for the victorious 400 free relay.
    Rupe earned second-place finishes individually in the 100 free (54.72) and the 200 free (2:00.16), and Senn was second in the 50 free (25.30). Olivia Arnold added a second-place showing in the 200 breast (2:330.23).
    Bray earned two second-place finishes against UIC while Rupe, Williamson and Arnold were second in one event.
    The Penguins' diving team will compete at the YSU Diving Invitational on Saturday at 11 a.m.
