Swimming & Diving: Penguins Fall to Marshall in
Dual Action, 133-105
Results
The Youngstown
State swimming and diving team
dropped a 133-105 decision to
Marshall in a dual meet on Saturday
afternoon at the Beeghly Natatorium.
Freshman diver Casey
Hill picked up nine points by
winning the one-meter dive with a
score of 235.72 and finished second
in the three-meter dive with a score
of 216.15. Hill had a strong weekend
winning three of four competitions
after picking up two wins on Friday.
Sophomore
Nishani Cicilson won the 50-yard
freestyle with a time of 24.77
seconds while
sophomore Kirstin Walker was the top
finisher in the 100-yard freestyle
in a time of 54.80 seconds.
Walker placed
second in the 1,000-yard freestyle
with a time of 11:06.29. Cicilson
placed second in the 100-yard
butterfly with a time of 1:00.25.
Freshman
Samantha Roberts took the top spot
in the 100-yard breaststroke with a
time of 1:11.79 as two Thundering
Herd swimmers who placed ahead of
her swam as exhibition.
The Penguins are
back in action at the Radford
Invitational, Nov. 19-20, in
Radford, Va. |
