High School: Four-time letterwinner and two-time captain honors...coached by John Fournier (coach was former teammate of Matt Anderson at NIU)...primary events were 100 breast, 50 and 100 freestyles... earned all-conference and all-sectional honors...placed third in sectional meet in the 100-yard breaststroke...broke the 20-yard-old school record in the event...had the 24th-best time entering state meet...member of school's 200 freestyle relay team...member of the National Honor Society...also played Water Polo.
