Men's Tennis
Concludes Season with 6th Place in
HL Tournament
Indianapolis, Ind.-- The
Youngstown State men's tennis team
once again earned the point in
doubles but could not find any wins
at singles in championship play.
UW-Green Bay won the the match 4-1
and claimed fifth place while YSU
finished in sixth. The Penguins also
had to relocate indoors during the
match due to darkness at the North
Central Tennis Courts.
At doubles, No. 2 Jason and Ryan
Trapp won 8-3 over Tim Prudow and
Mat Weis. Brian Meek and Diego
Cerzosimo won their match 8-6 in the
No. 3 spot. UW-Green Bay was only
able to stop Scott Kathary and Tom
Barth 9-8 (3) at No. 1.
The Phoenix won at No. 1, 2, 3 and 6
singles while Cerzosimo and Ryan
Trapp did not finish their matches
in the No. 4 and 5 spots.
The men's tennis team finishes the
season with an overall record of
5-14. |
