Men's Tennis
Suffers 7-0 loss to Toledo
Toledo , Ohio -- The Youngstown State men's
tennis team traveled to Toledo to
take on the Rockets at the Laurel
Hill Tennis Club on Saturday
afternoon. The Rockets swept the
doubles and the singles competition
in the loss.
Senior Tom Barth extended his match to three sets in the 6-4,
4-6, 2-6 loss to Mohammed Al Nabhani.
Brian Meek also kept his match close
as Tyler Sonkin slipped by 5-7, 6-7
(4). Barth and Kathary joined up at
No. 1 doubles to drop another close
match 7-8 (6).
In singles action, Kathary played in the No. 2 spot giving up
both sets 4-6 to Toledo's Chris
Clark. Ryan Trapp lost his match
4-6, 1-6 to Travis Curran in the No.
5 spot. Josh Moran defeated Diego Cerzosimo 1-6, 1-6 and Brian Rager
knocked off Chris Leson 4-6, 2-6.
Men's tennis will continue league play on Saturday against
Wright State . Match time is set for
2 p.m. in Dayton . |
