Men's Tennis: Ryan Trapp Receives Horizon League Tennis Athlete of the Week Honors

Indianapolis-- Senior Ryan Trapp of Howland, Ohio was named Horizon League Athlete of the Week for his performances on the spring break trip and against IPFW. Trapp went undefeated at No. 2 singles and at No. 1 doubles for the week.

Against Wesleyan University Trapp won 7-5, 6-2 singles and joined teammate Scott Kathary to win 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. In the second spring break match-up, Trapp won 9-8 (7-5) against Northwood and again at No. 1 singles, 8-1, with Kathary. He rounded out the weekend picking up the Penguins only win at singles with the 6-4, 6-3 victory over Nabil Mourad Filho from IPFW. Trapp also helped secure the doubles point with the 9-8 (7-5) win.
