Transfer Robert
Emig Joins Men's Tennis Team

men's tennis coach Eric Ronan
announced that Robert Emig will
transfer from the University of Mary
Washington to play tennis at YSU
this fall.
Emig of Sewickley, Pa. played
at No. 1 singles for three years at
Ambridge High School. In his senior
year, Emig was ranked 6th at states
and 30th in middlestates.
During his freshman year, the
University of Mary Washington won
the CAC title for the eighth
straight year and for the 13th time
in school history. UMW went on to
place 8th in the NCAA tournament.
Emig also beat the No. 3 seed from
Carnegie Mellon at the ITA
tournament last fall.
Emig will join
freshman teammates Steve D'Angelo,
Michael Kathary, Patrick Hamning and
junior Chris Leson this fall. |
