The
Youngstown State men's tennis team
opened Horizon League play against
UIC on Saturday evening at the
Hinsdale Racquet Club. Senior Scott

Kathary's victories were not enough
in the 6-1 loss. Kathary
and teammate Ryan Trapp came out
strong at doubles beating Sebastian Lystad
and Bastian Harbo, 8-4. UIC went on
to take the early lead by winning at
No. 2 and 3 singles, 8-3 and 8-1.
In singles action, Kathary gave the
Penguins the only point of the match
with his 4-6, 6-3, 10-1 win over
Lystad. Trapp also extended his
match to three sets but lost 6-4,
5-7, 11-9 to Harbo.
The team will continue league play
