Men's Tennis Falls to Xavier, 7-0

    Cincinnati, Ohio -- The Youngstown State men's tennis dropped a non-conference match, 7-0, to Xavier University on Saturday evening at Eastern Hills Tennis Club.

    YSU lost all three of the doubles matches. Scott Kathary and Ryan Trapp fell 8-5, Chris Leson and Diego Cerzosimo dropped the No. 2 match 8-3 while Maurice Rucker and Zach Landgraf lost by the same score at No. 3.

    In singles action, Ryan Trapp extended his match to three sets but could not stop Ra'ees Ismail as he lost 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot. Xavier went on to claim the rest of the singles matches in straight sets.

     The men's tennis team be back on the road on Friday to take on Niagara. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
