Men's Tennis
Drops 5-2 Decision at Buffalo
Williamsville,
N.Y.--
The men's tennis team battled with
the University at Buffalo on
Saturday falling 5-2. Buffalo swept
the doubles and picked up three wins
at singles while Robert Emig and
Chris Leson won two points for the
Penguins.
Emig won his match against Guilherme Smaniotto, 6-1, 6-3
in the No. 5 spot. Leson picked up
his win in the six slot by beating Tiago Gandum, 7-5, 7-5.
Tariq Ismail lost a close match at
No. 2 to Kirill Kolomysts by a score
of 6-7 (8), 6-4, 10-8.
In other singles action, Michael Kathary lost 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1.
Patrick Hamning fell 6-1, 7-5 at
No.3 and Steve D'Angleo dropped his
match 6-0, 6-4.
The men's tennis team will play
tomorrow morning against Niagara at
9 a.m. |
