Tennis Falls to Green Bay 7-0 in
Second Match of Spring Break Trip
Green
Bay, Wis. -- The Youngstown State men's tennis team
continued its spring break tour
against Green Bay on Wednesday night
at the Western Racquet Club. The
Phoenix won all six of the singles
matches and two of the doubles
matches to pick up the 7-0 victory
and its first Horizon League win of
the season. Steve D'Angelo and
Robert Emig teamed up at No. 3
doubles for their fourth straight
win.
The duo won the match 8-4, but the
win was not enough as Green Bay won
at No. 1 and 2 doubles to claim the
point.
The Phoenix won five matches
in straight sets while Emig came the
closest to winning his match as he
extended it to the third set. Emig
won 6-4 in the first set against
Henning Jess but lost 6-0 and 7-5 in
the second and third.
The Penguins will play the last match of the spring break
trip tomorrow night at 7:30 against
