Women's Tennis Sweeps Wright State, 7-0

   Dayton, Ohio -- The Youngstown State Women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season as well as its first Horizon League victory by downing Wright State, 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Guins swept the singles and won the doubles  point to come up with the big win.

   At doubles, Nicole Haralambopoulos and Anna Volkova played at No. 2 to beat Karina Presti and Jackie Garrett, 8-6. Gretchen Cloern rounded out the doubles sweep with their 8-1 win at No. 3.

    In singles action, Lynch easily defeated Presti 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. Hankle won her match 6-3, 6-3 while Volkova battled for the 6-3, 3-6 10-8 win over Webb. In the No. 4 spot Welch earned the 6-1, 6-2 victory.  Haralambopoulos swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 and Cloern won 6-0, 6-1 in the 6th slot.

    The women's tennis team will travel to Cincinnati to face Xavier tomorrow at 2 p.m.
