spring season with an overall record
of 10-10 playing at No. 4 and 5
singles...had the most wins at
singles on the team...picked up a
6-4, 6-2 win against Horizon League
opponent Detroit and defeated Wright
State in the the second round of the
League Tournament to help claim the
4-2 win...joined teammate Steve
D'Angelo at doubles for record 9-9.
The duo enjoyed a five match
win-streak mid-season.
Fall 2008: Finished the
season with an overall record of
4-2...played in the St. Bonaventure
Fall Classic, the St. Francis (Pa.)
match and in the Valpo Fall
Classic...picked up two wins in the
St. Bonaventure Classic by defeating
St. Francis (Pa.) 4-6, 6-2, 8-6 and
Buffalo, 4-6, 6-4, 8-6...also picked
up wins Valpo Invitational by
beating Valpo, 6-2, 7-5 and at No. 3
singles against St. Francis (Pa.)
6-0, 6-4...joined teammates Chris
Leson and Steve D'Angelo for a
combined record of 2-3 at doubles.
2007-08:
During his freshman year, the
University of Mary Washington won
the CAC title for the eighth
straight year and for the 13th time
in school history...UMW went on to
place 8th in the NCAA tournament.
Emig also beat the No. 3 seed from
Carnegie Mellon at the ITA
tournament last fall.
High School:
Played at No. 1 singles for three
years at Ambridge High School...in
his senior year was ranked sixth at states
and 30th in Middle States.
