Claims Third With 4-2 Win Over No.
2 Butler
Indianapolis,
Ind. -- The women's tennis
defeated the No. 2 seed Butler by a
score of 4-2 to finish third place
in the Horizon League and wrap up
the regular season on a high note.
The Penguins won the doubles point
and claimed three singles matches in
the thrilling victory. UIC defeated
Detroit in the Championship match.

Ind. -- The men's
tennis team wrapped up the spring
season by finishing 6th place in the
Horizon League Championships after
falling to Valpo, 4-0. For the
second straight year, Cleveland
State won the title of first place
in the league.

Tennis Upsets No. 4 Wright State
4-2 in HL Championship Play
Indianapolis,
Ind. -- The men's tennis team
defeated Wright State 4-2 in day two
of the Horizon League Tennis
Championships. The Penguins had lost
to Wright State 7-0 in the regular
season but on Saturday afternoon the
team upset the Raiders in dramatic
fashion. YSU lost the early doubles
point then went on to win four
singles matches and advance to play Valpo
Sunday morning.

UIC Gets Past Women's Tennis
4-0 in Third Round HL Tennis
Championships
Indianapolis, Ind. -- The women's tennis team
fell to No. 1 UIC 4-0 after
advancing past both Wright State and
Cleveland State. The Penguins will
play Butler tomorrow morning at 9:00
a.m. for a chance to claim third
place in the championship.

Indianapolis, Ind. -- The women's tennis team beat the No.
4 seed Cleveland State to continue
playing for the championship
title. The Penguins dropped the
doubles point, but strong singles
play helped lift the team past the
Vikings by a score of 4-3. The women
will next face No. 1 UIC at 2 p.m.
