Tennis Teams Wrapup Fall Slates at
ITA Midwest Regional Events |

The
Youngstown State men's and women's
tennis teams wrapped up their fall
seasons with select individuals
participating at the ITA Midwest
Regionals, which were held recently.
The women's regional was held in Chicago and was hosted by
Northwestern on Oct. 22. The men's
regional was held in Ann Arbor,
Mich., on Oct. 15.

The
Youngstown State men's tennis team traveled to the
Michigan State outdoor tennis courts
this past weekend against Toledo, Detroit, Wright State, Northern
Illinois and Michigan State.
Steve D'Angelo led the Penguins defeating Chris Cheung
(Detroit) 7-5, 6-2 in the Flight B
Singles second round.

Volkova Lead Way For Penguins at
BGSU Invitational |

Ohio -- In Flight 4
Doubles action at the Bowling Green
Fall Invitational, the duo of
Tanisha Welch and Anna Volkova won
three matches to take first place
over the weekend. Volkova, Gretchen Cloern
and Hannah Patten each placed third
in their respective singles flights.

Olean, N.Y. -- Youngstown State
junior Rob Emig won his singles
flight, while the duo of Patrick
Hamning and Michael Kathary won the
No. 1 doubles competition as the
men’s tennis team opened fall
competition at the St. Bonaventure
Invitational over the weekend.
