Davis Named Co-Horizon League Athlete of the Week
Indianapolis -- Youngstown State
thrower Jarrod Davis was named the
Co-Horizon League Athlete of the
Week for the period ending Feb. 16,
League Assistant Director of
Communications Taylor Payne
announced.
Davis broke his own school
record in the weight throw with a
heave of 54 feet, 4.75 inches in a
sixth-place finish at the All-Ohio
Championship. He topped his old
record by nearly 2 feet and is just
2 feet, 2 inches behind the Horizon
League record. His throw places him
over two and a half feet feet ahead
of his closest competitor on the
2004 Horizon League top performances
List.
Davis shared the honor with Chad Tredway of Loyola. |
