Young Squad Posts High Individual Marks At Horizon League Championship
    Greencastle, Ind. -- Sophomore Drew Weizer and freshman Kyle Dalton both earned second-team All-Horizon League honors to lead YSU's young and promising men's track and field at the Horizon League Championship this weekend.
    Weizer placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 53 feet 11 inches while Dalton placed second in the high jump by clearing a height of 6-3 1/2.
    Freshman Scott Streiner was also impressive in his first conference meet as he placed third in the 200 with a time of 22.56 and seventh in the 60 with a time of 7.29. Sophomore Scott Weiser added a fourth-place time of 22.94 in the 200 and an eighth-place time of 51.20 in the 400.
    Nick Smith placed fourth in the 3,000 with a time of 8:35.50 and seventh in the mile in 4:28.81 to lead the distance group while R.D. Goodright placed fourth in the 1,000 in 2:31.27.
    Jason Greenamyer placed third in the long jump with a mark of 22-3 and also placed sixth in the 60 hurdles and seventh in the long jump.
    Nick Rodland added a fifth-place finish in the shot put with a mark of 48-0 1/2 while Joe Lahmon placed sixth in the weight throw with a heave of 48-11 1/2.
    UW-Milwaukee won the event with a score of 197 while YSU finished sixth.
