Indianapolis -- Youngstown State freshman Jerrill Hall was named the Horizon League Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The Maple Heights, Ohio native ran a personal-best time of 7.95 to win the 55-meter hurdles and cleared a personal-best height of 6-4 in the high jump. His hurdles time ranks third in YSU history, and he ranks fourth all-time in the high jump.
Hall also has the third-best high jump mark in the Horizon League this season while his 60-meter hurdles equivalent time ranks fourth.
Hall is the second Penguin freshman to earn weekly accolades from the League as Breanne Romeo was honored on Dec. 20.
