Michealis Sixth in 800-meters at Raleigh Relays
Raleigh, N.C. --
Junior Kurt Michaelis finished sixth
in the 800-meter run with a time of
1:52.31 as members of the Youngstown
State track and field team competed
at the Raleigh Relays on Friday and
Saturday.
Also on the men's
side, Nick Smith finished 22nd in
section one of the 3,000
steeplechase with a time of 9:47.73
while Nick Kruse added a 16th-place
finish in section two with a
9:53.07. Nick Buzek and Tony
Orcena finished 28th and 30th
respectively in section one of the
10,000 while Jeremy Riehm and Chris
Hine placed 24th and 29th in the
second section. Marc Hogenbirk
finished 62nd in the 5,000 with a
time of 16:37.60.
For the women, Andrea Bardy placed 15th in the 3,000
steeplechase with a time of 11:55.51
while Lindsay Frontz earned an
18th-place finish in the 800 with a
time of 2:16.95. Lindsay
Wojciak placed fifth in the 28th in
the 5,000 with a time of 19:04.08.
The track and field teams continue their outdoor season on
April 5 at the Kent State Icebreaker
