Cunningham Wins 200-Meters at Baldwin-Wallace
Berea, Ohio -- Youngstown State
sophomore Jeanna Cunningham won the
200-meter dash with a time of 25.60
seconds at the Baldwin-Wallace
Twilight Meet on Friday.
Cunningham added a second-place finish in the 400-meters with
a time of 56.36.
Leslie Johnson placed third in the 400 with a time of 57.16
while Aaliyah Gillespie chipped in
with a fourth-place time of 26.26 in
the 200.
Amy Hill finished third in the discus (122 feet, 10 inches)
and fifth in the shot put (39-5 1/4)
to head the throwers while Katy
Williams placed ninth in the hammer
with a mark of 136-8.
Jarrod Davis was the high-finisher for the men as he recorded
a seventh-place finish in the hammer
with a throw of 167-1. Papis
Joh placed eighth in the 800-meters
in 1:54.98 while Kurt Michaelis
finished eighth in the 5,000 with a
time of 15:10.61. Chris Hine
added an 11th-plae finish in the
1,500-meters in 4:06.48.
Cunningham, Johnson, Gillespie, Danielle Bolt and Emily
Schnitkey will compete at the NCAA
Mideast Regional on May 28-29 in
Baton Rouge, La. Michaelis,
Joh, Scott Weiser, Ryan Strzalka and
Kevin Breckenridge will represent
the men's squad at the meet. |
