Gillespie Named Horizon League Athlete of the Week
Indianapolis --
Youngstown State
sophomore Aaliyah Gillespie was
named the Co-Horizon League Athlete
of the Week for the period ending
April 18,
League Assistant Director of
Communications Taylor Payne
announced.
Gillespie placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a
school-record time of 14.34 seconds
at the All-Ohio Championships on
Saturday. Gillespie, who set
the league record in the 60-meter
hurdles during the indoor season, is
now ranked first on the Horizon
League top performances list in the
100 hurdles.
Gillespie shared the award with
Michelle Bellford of Loyola. |
