Michaelis Named Horizon League Athlete of the Week
Indianapolis -- Youngstown
State senior Kurt Michaelis is the
Horizon League Athlete of the Week
for the period ending April 24,
League Assistant Director of
Communications Taylor Payne
announced.
Michaelis shattered his own school record in the 3,000-meter
steeplechase with a fifth-place time
of eight minutes, 53.16 seconds at
the Penn Relays Thursday evening.
His time is also the fastest run in
the Horizon League this season.
Michaelis also won the award on March 30.
