Throwers Compete at Ohio State Relays
Columbus, Ohio --
Amy Hill finished eighth in the shot
put while Katy Williams placed
eighth in the discus as Youngstown
State's throwers competed at the
Ohio State Relays Saturday.
Hill's mark of 40 feet was a personal best while Williams'
throw of 139-3 was a season-best
performance.
Williams added a 20th-place finish in the hammer with a toss
of 120-6 and Hill finished 22nd in
the event with a mark of 116-8.
Kim Lammers placed 13th in the shot
put (36-10 1/2), 15th in the discus
(99-3) and 24th in the hammer
(103-2).
On the men's side, Jarrod Davis led the Penguins as he
finished 10th in the discus (136-8),
12th in the hammer (141-7) and 15th
in the shot put (43-10). Joe
Bruderly placed 11th in the hammer
(143-7), 16th in the shot (43-8) and
18th in the discus (120-6).
Drew Weizer added an 18th-place
finish in the hammer (120-6), a
20th-place finish in the shot (40-10
1/2) and a 21st-place finish in the
discus (115-10).
The Penguins will compete in the Sea Ray Relays at the
University of Tennessee April 7-10
and at the Akron Open on April 10. |
