Women's 4x200 Relay, Davis Highlight Raleigh Relays
    Raleigh, N.C. -- The Youngstown State women's 4x200-meter relay set the school record and Jarrod Davis just missed breaking the school record in the hammer at the Raleigh Relays.
    The relay of Danielle Bolt, Ashley Oliver, Yandeh Joh and Kari Kreutzfeld set the mark with a time of 1:42.74 at the meet, which was YSU's first outdoor competition of the year. Davis' sixth-place mark of 169-9 was just two inches short of his school record that was set at the 2004 Horizon League Championships.
    Davis added a ninth-place mark of 149-9 in the discus.
    On the women's side, freshman Katie Betts finished ninth in the 200 with a time of 25.45 while Jeanna Cunningham placed 12th in the 400 with a time of 57.38. Emily Cicero placed 12th in the 10,000 in 38:11.60, and Yandeh Joh added a 17th-place finish in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:04.69.
    In the field events, Jen Grayson placed 11th in the high jump with a mark of 5-3, and Carly Youlton finished 14th in the triple jump with a leap of 36-9. Bethany Anderson headed the throws with a 16th-place mark of 42-4 3/4 in the shot put while Katy Williams was 18th in the discus with a throw of 139-2.
    On the men's side, J.D. Sheppard finished 13th in the 800 with a time of 1:55.74 while R.D. Goodright finished two spots back in 1:56.73. Dave Mealy moved into fifth-place on YSU's all-time list in the 10,000 with a time of 31:11.57.
    Aaron Merrill placed 16th in the shot put with a mark of 47-7 3/4 while Joe Lahmon was 15th in the hammer with a throw of 155-5.
