Bolt Highlights Mideast Regional With Personal-Best
in 100-Meters
Knoxville, Tenn. --
Youngstown State junior Danielle
Bolt ran a personal-best time of
11.82 seconds in the 100-meter dash
at the NCAA Mideast Regional to make
her the second-fastest runner in
school history.
Her time puts her in a tie for second with Mona Jackson's
mark in 1994 on the all-time list
and .38 seconds behind Jasmine
Reynolds' school record. She
finished 25th of 34 runners at the
Regional and highlighted YSU's
performances.
Senior Jarrod Davis was the top individual finisher with a
19th-place mark of 177 feet in the
hammer throw. Sophomore Bethany
Anderson was the highest placer on
the women's side with a 23rd-place
mark of 162-10 in the hammer.
In other individual events, freshman Aaron Merrill finished
22nd in the shot put with a mark of
50-8 1/4, and senior Satara Freeman
finished 28th in the 100 hurdles
with a time of 14.27.
The women's 4x400-meter relay of Yandeh Joh, Katie Betts,
Kari Kreutzfeld and Jeanna
Cunningham added a 14th-place time
of 3:47.00. |
