Anderson Named Horizon League Athlete of the Week

    Indianapolis, Ind. -- Youngstown State junior thrower Bethany Anderson has been named the Horizon League Female Athlete of the Week.
    Anderson, a native of Jamestown, N.Y., also earned the weekly award three times during the indoor season.
    Anderson became the first female YSU thrower to automatically qualify for the NCAA Mideast Regional over the weekend. She threw the hammer a school-record 178'6" to finish second overall and first among collegiate student-athletes.
    The Penguins will compete at the Sea Ray Relays starting Friday.
