Anderson Earns
Second Straight Weekly Horizon
League Honor
Youngstown --
Youngstown State junior Bethany
Anderson has been named the Horizon
League Women's Track and Field
Athlete of the Week for the second
consecutive week.
Anderson eclipsed the NCAA Regional qualifying standard in
the hammer for the second straight
week on Friday morning at the Sea
Ray Relays. The Jamestown, N.Y.,
native posted a mark of 178'2" to
fall just four inches short of her
school-record set at the Duke
Invitational earlier this season.
Her effort earned her a third-place
finish in the event.
Anderson, who also earned the weekly honor three times during
the most recent indoor campaign,
holds the top hammer mark in the
Horizon League by more than 18 feet.
Anderson and the Penguins will compete at the All-Ohio
Championships this weekend. |
