One of the greatest athletes
ever to play at Youngstown State. A football and
basketball star, he left his mark as the
ninth-leading all-time scorer in basketball,
hooping 1,400 points during his four-year career
from 1939-1943. He is the only YSU cager and City
of Youngstown schools athlete to perform in the
National Basketball Association, having played for
the Philadelphia Warriors when the league began in
1946. |
