Comeback Attempt Falls Short in
Five-Game Loss to Butler
Youngstown --
The Youngstown State volleyball team
(10-11, 4-6 Horizon League) trailed
two-games-to-one and forced a fifth
game but the Penguins' comeback
attempt and winning streak were both
snapped after a 33-31, 24-30, 20-30,
32-30, 16-18 loss to Butler (10-11,
4-6 Horizon League) on Saturday
afternoon at the Beeghly Center.
Senior Jessica
Fraley posted her 12th double-double
of the season with 19 kills and 15
digs while Ebony Barbosa and Ruth
Boscaljon each tallied 13 kills.
Barbosa registered a double-double
with 13 digs and Boscaljon tallied
seven blocks.
Sophomore
Allison Heinz added 10 kills
and junior Karla Everhart recorded a
double-double with 56 assists and 18
digs. Everhart also notched seven
kills and three blocks.
The Penguins
visit Green Bay, Friday, Oct. 19, at
8 p.m. |
