Penguins Passionately Pink

The Youngstown State Athletic Department, along with the Horizon League and the Gateway Football Conference, will work together during five YSU athletic events this weekend to raise funds to fight Breast Cancer as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Youngstown State volleyball and soccer teams will wear pink shoelaces during their two home events while the Penguins' football squad will showcase a miniature pink Y on their helmets during the Saturday afternoon's game against Southern Utah.

At Saturday's football game against the Thunderbirds, donations will be accepted at all concession stands throughout the stadium. During the soccer and volleyball matches, donations boxes will be placed at all entrances.

Proceeds from the events support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. For more information visit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure website at http://cms.komen.org/komen/index.htm
