Youngstown --
The Youngstown State women’s

different options for campers
wishing to attend head coach Cindy

June.
The camp series will begin with the Varsity and Junior
Varsity Team Camp on June 13 and 14
and run through the Full Day Camp,
which will be held June 22-25. There
will also be a Half Day Camp June
15-18 and an Elite Camp on June 16
and June 18. The dates for the Team
Camp and Elite Camp are for two
different sessions, and the Half Day
and Full Day camps will be four
consecutive days for one inclusive
price.
Campers are encouraged to register early by downloading the

The Varsity and Junior Varsity Team Camp (June 13 and 14) is
for high school players and designed
to give teams as much time as
possible on the court. Teams will
play three games each day with
certified high school officials.
Each day's session will cost $150
per team.
The Elite Camp (June 16 and 18) is designed to get 2009 high
school players, freshmen through
seniors, ready for the collegiate
level. There will be intense
workouts that focus on shooting,
ball-handling, passing, post moves
and defense. There will be great
competitive games as well as speed
an agility drills. It will be very
similar to a college practice. The
cost is $35 per session, which
includes a T-shirt. The camp will be
held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day,
and registration will be at 4:30
p.m.
The focus of the Half Day Camp (June 15-18) is on improving a
player's all-around game. Campers
will practice ball-handling,
passing, shooting, defense and
rebounds. There will also be
individual and team competitions in
which awards will be given. Campers
will be separated into groups based
on age and skill level. The camp is
for players who will be in second
through ninth grade in Fall 2009.
The cost is $85, which includes a
T-shirt, and the camp runs from 1
p.m.-4 p.m. every day. Registration
be at noon on June 15.
The Full Day Camp (June 22-25) is also for second through
ninth graders and will provide more
in-depth instruction on the same
skills as the Half Day Camp. Players
attending the Full Day Camp will
also have the opportunity to cool
off in the pool every day. The camp
will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day
and will cost $135, which includes
swimming and a T-shirt. Registration
will take place on June 22 at 8 a.m.
Participants will need to bring a
swimsuit and towel for pool time,
and they should pack a lunch or
bring money for lunch at the
concession stand each day. |
