Clear Channel,
Other Supporters Help Make Women's
Hoops Golf Outing a Success
Youngstown -- More than 70
golfers and many more supporters
helped make the annual Youngstown
State Women's Basketball Golf Outing
sponsored by Clear Channel Radio a
success.
The fundraiser, held Wednesday at Pine Lakes Golf Course in
Hubbard, began at noon with a
shotgun start and featured 18
foursomes in the best-ball scramble.
The event also included Belleria pizza at lunch, beverages on
the course and a buffet-style
dinner. There was also a 50/50
raffle and Chinese Auction on items
that included items ranging from YSU
apparel to golf balls to a spa
package to autographed Kelly Pavlik
boxing gloves.
"I really want to thank Clear Channel, our other sponsors and
our golf committee for helping us
make our first golf outing such a
success," first-year head coach
Cindy Martin said. "We heard a lot
of positive feedback and excitement
surrounding the program, and we're
looking forward to taking the floor
in front of everyone in November."
The Co-Ed team of Stephan Casi I, Stephan Casi II, Alexandra
Casi and Paul Wackerly won its
division and turned in the overall
low round with a 14-under par score
of 58.
The group of

Ciclone and Doug Pollock won the
men's division with a 10-under score
of 62. Linda Cameron, Linda McKernan,

take the women's title with a
three-under 70.
The men's second-place team of Jack Colonna, Jim Lopatta,
Jack Cramb and Dennis Krancevich was
one shot off the pace with a score
of 63.

contest while Alexandra Casi won the
women's. Dan Durkin was closest to
the pin on the sixth hole, and
