Kristina Kluesner is in her first season as the Director of
Operations for the Youngstown State University Women’s Basketball team.
Kluesner comes to YSU with two seasons of operations
experience in the WNBA, two years of coaching at the high school level and six
months of graduate assistant work at Central Methodist University.
Kluesner’s main responsibilities include film exchange,
assisting with travel and helping in the office. She is serving on a volunteer
basis.
Kluesner’s first experience in basketball operations came as
an intern for the Indiana Fever of the WNBA during the summer of 2006. The
following summer, she worked gameday operations with the Washington Mystics of
the WNBA.
As a student at the University of Louisville, Kluesner served
as the head junior varsity coach and assistant varsity coach for two seasons at
Waggener High in Louisville. Most recently, Kluesner was a graduate assistant at
Central Methodist, an NAIA school in Fayette, Mo., from June to December in
2008. This is her first stint working at a Division I university.
Kluesner graduated in 2007 from Louisville with a bachelor’s degree in sport
administration.
