Men Finish Sixth, Women 11th at All-Ohio Championship
Delaware, Ohio -- Junior Emily
Schnitkey and senior Jeremy Riehm
earned second-team All-Ohio honors
as the men finished sixth and the
women placed 11th at the All-Ohio
Championship on Friday afternoon.
Schnitkey placed 14th in the women's 5K with a time of
18:50.8 while Riehm was 19th with an
8K time of 26:40.2.
Behind Riehm, Chris Hine placed 28th in 26:57.9 and Dave
Mealy finished 41st with a time of
27:21.2. Matt Paullin finished
43rd with a time of 27:20.8 while
Nick Smith rounded out the scoring
five with a 110th-place time of
28:32.4.
Lindsay Wojciak was the second-best finisher for the women as
she placed 40th with a time of
19:28.7. Marielle Glanz placed
74th in 20:05.1 while Kim Jendre
placed 85th with a time of 20:14.2 .
Gina Mavrikis placed 108th with a
time of 20:29.2
Ohio State won the men's race with 38 points, 64 points better than
its closest competitor, while Kent
State edged the Buckeyes by two
points in the women's competition.
The Penguins will compete in the BGSU Invitational on Oct.
