Kruse's 39th-Place Finish Paces Men's Squad at All-Ohio
Championship
Delaware, Ohio -- Youngstown State senior Nick Kruse finished 39th
with an 8K time of 27:03.4 to lead the men's team to a 19th-place finish at the
All-Ohio Championship held on Ohio Wesleyan's campus Friday afternoon.
Senior Marielle Glanz was top finisher for the women's squad,
placing 106th with a 5K time of 20:34.1. The women's squad finished 27th ahead
of Horizon League opponents Wright State and Cleveland State.
On the men's side, freshman Justin Dickman placed 88th with a time of 27:54.9, and Dan Nemergut
finished 114th in 28:16.3. J.D. Sheppard placed 146th with a time of 28:40.1,
and Sean Finnerty rounded out the scoring five with a 148th-place time of
28:41.0.
Lisa Lee was the second Penguin to cross the finish line on
the women's side with a 153rd-place
time of 21:31.0, and Laura Yamsek placed 163rd in 21:40.8. Madelyn McGhee placed
173rd with a time of 21:52.0, and Amy More was 181st in 22:11.0.
The Penguins will compete at the Falcon Invitational on Oct.
